CROPMOM: CREATE MEMORIES WITH ONLINE SCRAPBOOKING
What could be more fun than putting your photos on the cover of a magazine? Mock magazine covers make delightful personalized gifts for birthdays, graduation, retirement and other occasions.
Creating your own fake magazine is easy and inexpensive with CropMom, the online scrapbooking Website.
CropMom is free to use. All you need is a digital photo or two to get started. You must register as a user at CropMom (registration is free) to be able to save your magazine layouts.
Here’s how to make your own magazine cover:
Log in to CropMom and upload your high-resolution photos to the Website.
Click the “Make New Layout” button that appears on almost every page in CropMom.
Select the “Open Template” button. Then browse through our templates until you find a magazine cover you’d like to use. You’ll be able to customize any template you choose.
After you’ve selected a template, drag your photo or photos onto the canvas. You can resize your photos, if necessary. To move your photo below the text, select the photo and click the “Move Back” tool repeatedly until it moves to the desired layer.
You can add graphics from our Cover Story digital scrapbook kit or click “add text” to write your own headlines.
Save your layout, then go to the My CropMom page to share your magazine cover by e-mail with friends and family members for free. If you want to print your magazine cover, you may purchase the high-resolution digital file of the layout then print it at home or have it printed by a photo service. (Purchased layouts do not contain the “made with CropMom” label.)
Your personalized magazine cover will serve as a conversation piece for years to come.
You will find CropMom on the Web at cropmom.com.
